never done before

Last night I went to a service in Toledo called Epic that happens once a month, and it's for young adults and youth. The speaker told us how God had spoken to him six years ago about what he wanted Epic to be and that he had not been doing what God had told him. I mean he was doing great things but not what God told him to do. So within the last week God told him "in order for me to take you to a place you've never been before, you must first begin to do what you've never done before." Chad(the speaker) knew that God had called this EPIC to become a place where young adults and youth don't just meet but where they reach out and evangelize to Toledo. So after hearing this from God he decided to fast for 40 days because fasting was not a practice he had really done before. He also knew he couldn't do this alone so he mentioned that he was doing this to 3 people that were very close to him. They agreed to do it without being asked or anything. Than Chad decided to mention it to 15 other people, and all of them agreed without hesitation. So he pulled together the people to have a meeting and 40 people showed up to fast for 40 days before the next EPIC meeting. So in this sermon he talked about, what would happen if 100 or 200 young people fasted the hardest thing for them to fast for the next month. So everyone wrote down a fast and I'm excited to see how God is going to change us personally and this city! The week before the next EPIC meeting, the team will be street evangelizing in Toledo. So be in prayer for this and that change will begin to happen among the Bedford and Toledo Area!!

that's so awesome! i went to epic a few times when i was in master's commission... and i remember the atmosphere and presence of God was unlike any other "youth group" i'd ever been to. everyone there is so wanting more of God and to be used by Him to change things. that sounds like a great challenge aly! i'll be praying (and fasting) for the team!
